  • Self-certification under labor and environmental laws
  • Access to government tenders

This is the first registration every eligible startup should consider.

2. Fund of Funds for Startups (FFS)

Tips for Startup Founders

Government schemes work best when combined with a solid business model. Before applying:

  • Register your startup with DPIIT if eligible.
  • Obtain UDYAM registration if you qualify as an MSME.
  • Maintain proper financial records and GST compliance.
  • Prepare a strong business plan and pitch deck.
  • Explore incubators and accelerator programs.
  • Stay updated with new schemes announced in the Union Budget.

Final Thoughts

Government support has become one of the strongest pillars of India’s startup ecosystem. From funding and tax benefits to innovation grants and procurement opportunities, these initiatives can significantly reduce the challenges faced by entrepreneurs.

Instead of relying solely on private investment, startup founders should strategically leverage government schemes to build sustainable businesses, improve cash flow, and scale faster. The right combination of grants, loans, incubation, and market access can provide a competitive advantage in today’s dynamic entrepreneurial landscape.
